Actress Mary Mara has died at the age of 61 after being suspected of drowning 

Mary Mara, the actress who portrayed Loretta Sweet on ER, died at the age of 61 after a suspected drowning incident

"Mary was one in a million—one of the best actresses I ever met," Mara's manager, Craig Dorfman, said in a statement.

Mara was found dead on June 26 after a suspected drowning incident while swimming in the St. Lawrence River, according to a New York State Police press release.

According to the release from the authorities, there were no indications of criminal activity on Mara's body.

The Jefferson County Medical Examiner's Office is conducting an investigation before releasing the cause of death.

Her appearances on "Nash Bridges," "ER," and "Ray Donovan" are perhaps what made her most well-known.

The movies "Mr. Saturday Night" and "Love Potion #9" were among Mara's credits. Her most recent work was on the movie "Break Even" from 2020.

Mara is survived by her stepdaughter Katie Mersola, sisters Martha Mara and Susan Dailey, nephew Christopher Dailey and brother-in-law Scott Dailey.May her soul Rest in Peace
