On Saturday night, coaches from some of the biggest names in college basketball descended on Indianapolis for the IHSAA Class 4A state championship game between Kokomo and Ben Davis. Although Ben Davis was chasing history with an undefeated record, the real attraction of the night was Kokomo’s junior big man Flory Bidunga.

Standing at a towering 6’9”, this highly ranked prospect has everyone in the basketball world talking. According to various recruiting services, Bidunga is currently ranked second in the country for his position with offers from well-known programs such as Cincinnati, Arizona State, Auburn, Bradley, and Butler. In fact, some of college basketball’s top coaches made a special trip just to watch him in action.

Among the highly regarded basketball coaches in attendance were Kentucky’s John Calipari, Michigan State’s Tom Izzo, and Indiana’s own Mike Woodson. Auburn’s Bruce Pearl was also there, highly intrigued by the young talent on display.

However, it seems Izzo is not only interested in Bidunga, as he has already secured the commitment of Xavier Booker, a 2023 prospect from Cathedral. It comes as no surprise that many college coaches have their eyes on Bidunga, who has exhibited extraordinary talent and potential on the court.

With all eyes on him, Flory Bidunga played exceptionally well in the state championship game, scoring game-high points and grabbing crucial rebounds. Despite the outcome of the game, it is clear that the basketball world is eagerly awaiting what is next in store for this exceptional player.

Overall, Flory Bidunga is a one-of-a-kind talent with a bright future ahead of him. It will be exciting to see which of the many colleges pursuing him will succeed in landing this highly sought-after prospect.
