Porsche Penske Motorsports won the 100-minute Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach at the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship with a daring gambit of running on a single set of tires. Both Porsches completed the race using the tires, while polesitting Wayne Taylor Racing faced pit stop issues, leading to Porsche’s victory. The win marked Porsche and Penske’s first overall IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship victory in over a decade. Matt Campbell and Felipe Nasr took third place, while Madison Snow and Bryan Sellers won in GTD to grab the championship lead in their class.
