To find the Most Beloved Films in America, this is a data gathered from from the 2017 Super Bowl Movie Poll. 5100 Americans polled to find out what their most beloved film was. The results were ranked based on movies’ individual scores on three different criteria: number of first place votes, total number of votes and the percentage of votes that each movie received. With that said, let’s find out which movie Americans love the most!

Many fans consider 1977’s Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope to be among their favorite films of all time. The popularity spin off video games, books, comics, costumes and more. Stanley Kubrick’s science fiction masterpiece has become a true American classic. The film story is written by Arthur C. Clarke. Movie is a journey to Jupiter which took place over millions of years before. Though some of its special effects have started to age, 2001: A space odyssey act as a shift in the industry, in its first appearance in the theaters. The role of cinematographer played impact full role to make it most influential movies. He would go on to earn Academy Award nominations for his work on both 2001 and 1979’s Star Trek: The Motion Picture.

If you are from America you must watch this movie, the movie name is Pulp Fiction. So what are you waiting for? More than 20 years after its release, Tarantino’s modern masterpiece about a group of intertwining Los Angeles criminals is widely considered one of cinema’s best—and most quotable. Starring John Travolta as hit man Vincent Vega and Samuel L. Jackson as his partner Jules Winnfield, Pulp Fiction was released to wide acclaim and quickly became a fixture on Hollywood’s A-list. It won multiple awards from critics’ groups around the world (including two Oscars) and inspired countless movies that followed in its mold: neo-noir thrillers that would rather leave viewers with questions than easy answers.

American Beauty (1999)

The movie ‘American Beauty’ tells a story of Lester Burnham, a middle-aged man who dreams of being successful and happy but is weighed down by his ennui, dissatisfaction with his job and apathy about life. The first scene opens on Lester as he comes home from work; he’s fed up with his work and spends more time gazing out of his car window than watching the road. Shortly after arriving home, he has an argument with his wife (who, like him, seems to be unhappy). In an attempt to cheer her up he gets into a heated debate about their favorite song (hers is by The Rolling Stones; his is by Buddy Holly). The two go back and forth until he leaves for work, angry that she won’t listen to him.

The 2002 crime drama film, directed by Rob Marshall and starring Catherine Zeta-Jones, Renee Zellweger, John C., it is a highly praised. It’s rated 84% on Rotten Tomatoes and a 90% on Metacritic. Rotten Tomatoes also ranked it as one of Hollywood’s greatest films (of all time) while Entertainment Weekly ranked it as one of their 25 favorite films of all time.

 

E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial (1982, 2002, 2018 – re-release as E.T.: The New Experience )
