Actor Jeremy Renner recently made his very first late-night appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” after a snow plow accident. In the interview, Renner shared his traumatic experience with the accident and his upcoming show “Rennervations” on Disney+. As the actor took the stage with a cane, he was welcomed with a standing ovation by the crowd. Kimmel made a joke about Renner being the toughest Avenger, but the actor felt otherwise, pointing out Scarlett Johansson.
Renner then gave a detailed explanation of how his snow plow accident occurred, which he shared earlier with ABC News’ Diane Sawyer. The accident occurred when Renner and his nephew were working to tow a Ford Raptor out of the snow, which led to his snow plow sliding on ice. Renner attempted to re-enter the vehicle but forgot to set the parking brake, causing him to lose his footing and be run over by the vehicle.
During the interview, Renner also acknowledged the presence of his family in the crowd and shared a video message from his “Avengers” co-star Paul Rudd that he received while recovering in intensive care. With this recent experience, Renner has become more appreciative of life and grateful to still be here.
