Popular talk-show hosts Howard Stern and Rosie O’Donnell have shown their support for social media influencer Dylan Mulvaney. The controversial transgender content creator received serious backlash when Bud Light announced its collaboration with her for a fan contest. Conservative personalities condemned Bud Light’s partnership with an LGBTQ creator, and criticism ensued from country singers, with Kid Rock even posting a video on Instagram showing him shooting down cases of Bud Light using a semi-automatic rifle.
During the April 10 episode of his SiriusXM radio show, Howard Stern questioned Kid Rock’s reaction, saying he did not understand why he was so upset about Dylan Mulvaney’s partnership with Bud Light. Stern emphasized that he supported the LGBTQ community because they did not impact his life or hurt him in anyone, stating that as long as people were not hurting anybody, he was on their team.
Rosie O’Donnell also backed Mulvaney’s partnership with Bud Light, explaining at the start of the conversation that “Beer companies have been supportive of the LGBTQIA community for decades…Who do you think sponsors pride?”, she continued, “Gay people, trans people, we drink beer too, man. Put down your gun, Kid Rock, it’s in bad taste. Especially after what happened at the school in Nashville.”
Mulvaney’s collaboration with Bud Light soon became controversial, with some Conservative figures condemning it. However, Mulvaney and her supporters emphasize that they only aim for positivity and connection with those who may not understand their views. Dylan Mulvaney has 1.8 million Instagram followers and 10.8 million TikTok followers, making her a significant voice in the social media sphere.
In conclusion, the Kid Rock’s and other conservative figures’ violent reactions only promote negativity and hate while personalities like Howard Stern and Rosie O’Donnell support the LGBTQ community and its allies. It is crucial to respect everyone’s opinions, views, and identities without promoting violence or hate.
