Brandon “Bam” Margera, a prominent star of the MTV reality show and subsequent movies, “Jackass,” is being sought by the Pennsylvania State Police on charges of assault and terroristic threats. A warrant has been issued by police after an apparent domestic altercation in which Margera reportedly punched his brother, Jesse Margera, and had left a threatening note signed with his name. According to court records, Margera is facing four counts of terroristic threats and one count of simple assault, all misdemeanors.
Margera, a native of Chester County, Pennsylvania, had made a name for himself on television and, since the 2000 television debut of “Jackass,” has produced 23 tv show and movie projects and has been credited as a writer for 25 more. Most recently, Margera has been active on social media, often posted photos of himself with his family and promoting various projects.
This may not be the first time Margera has been involved in a domestic altercation. In 2020, he was ordered to stay away from his wife following an altercation in their home. Clearly, this incident demonstrates a serious disregard for safety and could have serious legal consequences for Margera.
It’s never wise to resort to violence, no matter how angry or upset someone may be. Assaulting and threatening someone is not only illegal but it’s also morally and ethically wrong. No matter how famous someone may be or how wealthy, it’s essential to seek help when experiencing issues with anger management or domestic violence. Seeking help not only indicates someone is taking responsibility for their actions but it’s also the first and most important step toward resolving interpersonal conflicts.
