Katie Gallagher, the internationally recognized fashion designer, was found dead in her Manhattan apartment in July last year with a lethal cocktail of fentanyl, ethanol, and the designer opioid p-Fluorofentanyl in her system. The police and medical examiner confirmed in a recent report that the 35-year-old promising designer had become a victim of grand larceny in what could be connected to a pattern of the ongoing “drug-facilitated” robberies in the area of East Village, Lower East Side, and the Bronx. Prior to her death, Gallagher dressed some of the most famous celebrities, including Lady Gaga, Laverne Cox, Rita Ora, Kourtney Kardashian, and many more. Gallagher’s family has launched a GoFundMe campaign to complete her final collection and present it in New York City this fall, as well as holding a celebration of life scheduled for May.
