Existing vs. Living: What’s the Difference?

Read Time:3 Minute, 45 Second

Stop dreaming Start living

If you’re like most people, you exist, but you don’t really live. You go through your days doing what you’re supposed to do, getting things done and fulfilling your obligations, but is that all there is? If you’re not experiencing the life of your dreams, why not try taking steps towards making it happen? Here are eight signs that you might be existing rather than living and some tips to help change it!

Why you should live and not just exist

We all have a choice to make each day: do we want to just exist or do we want to live? To exist is to go through the motions, to do what’s expected and nothing more. But to live is to truly experience life, to be present in each moment and savor it. Here are seven reasons why you should choose to live and not just exist

Create your own reality

We all have the power to create our own reality. Our thoughts, emotions, and actions all contribute to the energy we put out into the world, which in turn shapes our experiences. If we want to change our lives, we need to change our mindset and start living with intention. Existing is just going through the motions day after day without any real purpose. But when you start living, you wake up each day with a plan and a purpose. You take action towards your goals and build a life you love. So ask yourself, are you just existing or are you truly living?

Have bigger goals than yourself

It’s easy to get caught up in our day-to-day lives and forget about what we’re working towards. But if we want to truly live, we need to have goals that are bigger than ourselves. Why? Because when we’re striving for something greater, we push ourselves to be better. We challenge ourselves to grow. And as a result, we end up living more fulfilling lives. So ask yourself: what are your big goals? And start working towards them today!

Don’t settle for comfortable misery

Too often, we settle for lives that are comfortable but unhappy. We convince ourselves that we don’t deserve better or that it’s too late to make a change. But it’s never too late to start living instead of just existing. Here’s how to tell the difference between the two and how to make the switch.

Get out of your comfort zone

We often get so comfortable in our daily lives that we forget to truly live. To live is to experience new things and step out of your comfort zone. It can be scary, but it’s also exhilarating and empowering. Existing, on the other hand, is simply going through the motions day after day without making any real connections or taking any risks. If you’re stuck in a rut, it’s time to start living! Here are a few ways to get out of your comfort zone and start living life to the fullest

Don’t be afraid to fail

Failure is a part of life. It’s how we learn and grow. Without failure, we’d never know what success feels like. So don’t be afraid to fail. Embrace it. Learn from it. And then get back up and try again. Because that’s what living is all about.

Step outside your box

It’s easy to get caught up in the mundane day-to-day tasks of life and forget that there’s more to existence than just going through the motions. If you feel like you’re just existing, it’s time to take a step outside your box and start living! Here are five ways to do just that:

1.) Get out and explore. There’s so much to see and do in this world, so get out there and start exploring! Visit new places, try new things, and meet new people.

2.) Follow your dreams. We all have dreams and goals we want to achieve, so what are you waiting for? Start working towards making your dreams a reality!

3.) Live in the moment.

Have fun doing it!

We all have fun doing different things. For some, it might be going out and partying with friends. Others might enjoy playing video games or going on nature hikes. But what does it mean to truly live? And how is that different from just existing?
