The Cavinder twins, TikTok superstars and former players of the Miami college basketball team, announced recently that they are ditching their fifth year of college basketball eligibility to focus on a “new chapter,” which may well involve wrestling. In an interview with “Today,” the 4.5 million follower-strong pair hinted at a future with WWE. They said, “We love the WWE, their fan base, the sport, the fitness side of it. That fits Hanna and I’s brand and aligns with us. They’re a great partner, and we’re excited about the future with them,” This move wouldn’t be surprising, given the Cavinder twins’ endorsement deals waiting to be announced, alluding to a possible WWE partnership.
The world leader in wrestling has previously had several sets of twins in tag team competition over the years, giving the Cavinder twins the perfect platform for their future WWE prospects. However, still, the twins’ switch-up was a surprise to many people as they were already established basketball players, but they decided to do so due to the increased opportunities brought by NIL, or name, image, and likeness deal. The Cavinder sisters believe they can show other college athletes what’s possible with NIL experience.
