Lakers coach Darvin Ham lauded Davis’ contributions to the team, stating that his performance has been pivotal to their recent success. James also praised Davis for carrying the team on his back and bringing them home.
In the loss against the Lakers, Karl-Anthony Towns scored 23 points for the Timberwolves, and Mike Conley had 25 points on 7-for-11 shooting with seven assists. The Timberwolves tumbled to ninth place and now sit one game behind Golden State in the race to avoid the play-in tournament.
The Lakers have been making huge climbs in recent games and are hungry to make not only the playoffs but also make some noise. They have recently improved their play, winning nine of their last thirteen games since losing at home to the Timberwolves on March 3.
